Dr. Igor Stagljar is a group leader at the University of Toronto whose primary interests are in the identification and characterization of the interaction partners of membrane proteins associated with disease states, to obtain a better understanding of their molecular function, and in the identification of novel drugs and drug targets for use in therapeutic treatments. Stagjlar’s lab has developed several powerful technologies for use in the study of integral membrane proteins and protein-protein interactions.
