Craig Butt, PhD profile page

Craig Butt is a Senior Manager of Scientific Marketing at SCIEX, who brings over 20 years of mass spectrometry expertise to developing advanced methods for environmental chemistry and toxicology of PFAS and persistent organic contaminants. At SCIEX, he has focused on PFAS analysis in water, soil, and serum using nominal and high-resolution MS, as well as methods for cannabis testing, pesticide screening in produce, and natural product profiling. He earned a PhD in environmental chemistry from the University of Toronto, studying PFAS fate in biological systems. As an NSERC postdoctoral fellow and later research scientist at Duke University, he investigated halogenated organic contaminants, phosphate-based flame retardants, and PFAS exposure.
